Atlantic Group has secured the full mechanical and electrical package for the £18m transformation of Hilden House in Warrington, marking another significant addition to the contractor’s ever growing residential portfolio.
The Merseyside-based MEP specialist announced the appointment via LinkedIn, confirming it will deliver the scheme in partnership with Caro Construction, alongside QED as M&E consultant and FCH Architects. The development will convert the former office building into around 100 high-quality residential apartments in the centre of Warrington.
Located opposite Bank Park and Warrington Town Hall, the project forms part of wider regeneration plans for the town centre. Plans for the five-storey building include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments alongside premium resident amenities such as a gym, concierge service, co-working space and resident lounge facilities.
Originally constructed in the 1970s, Hilden House previously housed government office space and has remained vacant in recent years. The redevelopment reflects the continued trend of repurposing underused commercial buildings into modern city-centre housing schemes across the North West.
For Atlantic Group, the contract represents another major residential project win and reinforces the company’s growing reputation within the build-to-rent, apartment and regeneration sectors. The business has delivered MEP services on a wide range of high-profile residential developments across the region, including Lumina Village in Trafford, Baltic Yard in Liverpool, Blossom Street in Manchester and the Tobacco Warehouse redevelopment at Stanley Dock.
Founded in Merseyside, Atlantic Group provides electrical and mechanical design, installation and maintenance services across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. The company offers full design-and-build solutions, covering power, lighting, fire detection, security systems, data infrastructure and complete mechanical installations.
The Hilden House appointment further strengthens Atlantic’s position in the competitive North West residential market as demand continues to grow for complex refurbishment and regeneration-led schemes.
