VITA M&E has secured the mechanical and electrical package for the Rice Works development in Liverpool, marking another significant contract award within the wider Heap’s Mill regeneration scheme.
The appointment follows the successful completion of Maritime View, a neighbouring high-rise residential project delivered by the contractor as part of the same city-centre development. Maritime View comprises a 13-storey apartment block featuring one and two-bedroom homes, providing VITA M&E with valuable project experience and a proven track record on the site.
Rice Works will deliver a 210-bedroom apart-hotel and forms a key component of the wider Heap’s Mill regeneration project. Located alongside the historic Grade II-listed mill building in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, the development consists of two contemporary serviced apartment blocks designed to complement the heritage architecture of the former rice mill.
The contract award highlights the importance of strong pre-construction engagement and collaborative planning in securing repeat business. Having already demonstrated its delivery capability on Maritime View, VITA M&E was well positioned to support project stakeholders during the early stages of the Rice Works scheme. Effective design coordination, procurement planning, programme development and value engineering are increasingly becoming key differentiators for MEP contractors seeking to secure complex residential and hospitality projects.
The project is currently progressing through procurement, with VITA M&E now working closely with the wider delivery team ahead of construction activities commencing on site.
