VINCI Energies has completed the acquisition of NOVO Technologies in a move set to strengthen its position within the UK’s growing telecoms and wireless connectivity market.
The deal, announced by VINCI Energies in April, sees the business add one of the UK’s established telecoms infrastructure providers to its expanding portfolio. Founded in 2016, NOVO Technologies delivers end-to-end telecoms infrastructure solutions for both carrier and enterprise clients, supporting mobile network projects across the UK.
The acquisition forms part of VINCI Energies’ wider strategy to enhance its digital infrastructure and wireless connectivity capabilities as demand for advanced communications networks and 5G infrastructure continues to accelerate. The integration of NOVO Technologies is expected to significantly strengthen the company’s ability to deliver large-scale wireless infrastructure projects for enterprise and telecoms customers.
Russell Crampin, Perimeter Director at VINCI Energies UK & ROI, described the acquisition as a key part of the company’s strategic direction over the next three years. He said strengthening its wireless infrastructure delivery capability was a “natural next step” as connectivity becomes increasingly important to digital transformation across industries.
The acquisition also brings 71 NOVO Technologies employees into the VINCI Energies business, creating opportunities for further collaboration, technical development and long-term growth. NOVO Technologies Managing Director Matt Wynne said the partnership would provide the scale and capability required to meet rising demand for projects supporting the UK’s wireless connectivity ambitions.
Industry observers believe the move positions VINCI Energies strongly within the evolving telecoms infrastructure sector, particularly as investment in private 5G, digital construction connectivity and intelligent network infrastructure continues to grow across the UK.
