Kane Group has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of eight new directors, following a period of significant growth that has seen the Northern Ireland-based MEP contractor reach its £100 million turnover target.
The Banbridge-headquartered business has promoted senior figures across design, operations, commercial, finance, people and culture, technical compliance and bidding as it prepares to deliver its next phase of growth.
The new appointments include Jonathan Moore and James Murray as Design Directors, Suzanne Devlin as Director of People and Culture, Niall Moane as Technical and Compliance Director, Shane McCarron as Commercial Director, Áine McEvoy as Finance Director, Cathal Moane as Operations Director and Daniel O’Rourke as Bid Director.
The appointments follow the successful delivery of Kane’s current growth strategy, which has taken turnover towards the £100 million milestone while maintaining its focus on health, safety and quality.
Kane Group Managing Director Cathal McMullan said the company had strengthened its in-house expertise in design and offsite manufacturing, which he described as instrumental to its growth and its ability to offer clients a complete service.
The business will now turn its attention towards an ambitious 2030 strategy centred on investment in people, technology and facilities. The strengthened leadership structure is intended to provide the depth and strategic oversight required to support that next stage of development.
For the MEP sector, the appointments underline Kane’s continued development from a traditional building services contractor into a more integrated engineering business, with design, offsite capability and technical expertise forming an increasingly important part of its proposition.
Kane currently operates across the UK and Ireland, delivering mechanical and electrical building services, while also investing in technologies including Virtual Design and Construction and Building Information Modelling.
McMullan said the appointments also demonstrate Kane’s commitment to recognising and developing talent from within the business, creating progression opportunities while establishing a strong and sustainable leadership team.
With its £100 million growth milestone achieved, Kane’s focus now shifts towards building the people, systems and capabilities needed to deliver its longer-term 2030 ambitions.
