Genuit Completes the Acquisition of Monodraught Ltd.

In early September, Polypipe’s parent company, Genuit Group plc, has finalised the purchase of Monodraught Ltd in a deal worth approximately £55.6 million, marking a major strategic expansion into the ventilation and indoor air quality market.

Monodraught, based in High Wycombe, is renowned for its expertise in natural and hybrid ventilation systems, daylighting, cooling and advanced control and data management for buildings—particularly in the education sector. The acquisition strengthens Genuit’s offering in the ventilation market, especially where sustainable and low-energy building solutions are increasingly in demand.

Genuit Group is structured around three principal business units: Climate Management Solutions (CMS), Water Management Solutions (WMS), and Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS). Monodraught will join the CMS division alongside established brands such as Nuaire, Domus, and others, enabling Genuit to integrate Monodraught’s ventilation and control capabilities with its existing heating, cooling, and air quality systems.

Joe Vorih, CEO of Genuit, said that Monodraught’s capacity in controls, commissioning and data analytics will complement the Group’s broader strategy—to deliver integrated, sustainable indoor climate solutions. Financially, Monodraught reported turnover of about £17.3 million with a pre-tax profit of £2.7 million in its last accounting year.

This move demonstrates Genuit’s ongoing evolution beyond its traditional strength in plastic piping and water management, towards becoming a more holistic provider of environmental building services. Alongside Monodraught, Genuit’s portfolio includes businesses such as Adey, Domus, Nu-Heat, Nuaire, and others covering ventilation, low-carbon heating, drainage, and sustainable building components.

By acquiring Monodraught, Genuit positions itself more strongly in sectors where ventilation, indoor air quality and smart building controls are under growing regulatory and client pressure — particularly in schools, public buildings and workplaces. The acquisition is expected to be earnings accretive from the first full year, and is seen as a timely expansion in a market with increasingly favourable policy and regulatory tailwinds.
