Chris Armitage Appointed as Specification Manager for Ideal Heating and Groupe Atlantic

Ideal Heating and Groupe Atlantic have announced the appointment of Chris Armitage as Specification Manager for the M62 Corridor, marking a key addition to the company’s commercial team during a time of rapid growth in the low-carbon heating sector.

Chris steps into the new role after nearly two years as Senior Sales Engineer at Clade Engineering Systems, where he played a pivotal role in promoting high-efficiency, low-carbon HVAC solutions. His move keeps him within the Groupe Atlantic family, bringing with him deep technical expertise and a strong track record in supporting public and private sector clients through the energy transition.

In a LinkedIn announcement, Chris said:
“In this new chapter, I’ll be supporting end users, local councils, and designers with expert guidance on a comprehensive range of solutions — from Gas & Electric Boilers, Water Heaters, and Small Commercial Heat Pumps to HIUs and Large Commercial & Industrial Heat Pumps.”

With over a decade of experience in mechanical services and HVAC technologies, Chris is known for his practical knowledge and customer-centric approach. He is also a certified CPD provider, offering seven CIBSE-approved CPDs, helping clients and consultants stay ahead of the curve with up-to-date knowledge on decarbonisation, heat pump design, and commercial system specification.

Ideal Heating is a leader in high-performance commercial and industrial heating solutions, playing a vital role in the UK’s net zero ambitions. Chris’s appointment is a strategic step as the company accelerates the rollout of innovative products across key regions.

His role will focus on supporting designers, consultants, and specifiers along the M62 corridor — a significant area for urban regeneration and energy-efficient infrastructure development.

Chris’s appointment signals Ideal Heating’s continued investment in technical leadership and its commitment to transforming the commercial heating landscape through collaboration, education, and innovation.
