SES Engineering Services has strengthened its Southern leadership team with the appointment of two senior figures to its Engineering South board, reinforcing the business’s growth ambitions across London and the wider region.
Mark Heath has been appointed Pre-Construction Director, while Luke Boyhan steps into the role of Commercial Director. Both appointments reflect SES’s continued investment in leadership capability as demand grows across key markets including commercial development, fit-out, and life sciences projects.
Heath brings more than three decades of experience in pre-construction and estimating within the MEP sector. He previously held senior leadership roles at Michael J Lonsdale and Phoenix ME, where he led estimating and pre-construction teams on major building services projects. In his new position, Heath will oversee tendering, pre-construction strategy, and customer engagement across SES’s southern operations.
Boyhan, who joined SES in 2021 and most recently served as Regional Commercial Director, brings nearly 20 years of commercial leadership experience. His new role will focus on driving sustainable growth, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring commercial consistency across projects delivered throughout the South.
The appointments come at a time of strong momentum for SES Engineering South, with the business currently delivering several major commercial projects in London, including work with contractor Mace. While the division operates across multiple sectors and regions, London remains a core market, with further investment planned to support future growth.
Part of the Wates Group, SES has built a reputation as a leading UK engineering and technology partner, delivering complex mechanical, electrical, and public health systems through an integrated approach combining digital engineering, offsite manufacturing, and building performance expertise. The company’s focus on early collaboration, sustainability, and innovation has positioned it as a key delivery partner on technically demanding projects across the UK construction sector.
With more than 60 years of engineering heritage and an expanding portfolio of digital and offsite capabilities, SES continues to invest in leadership and technical excellence to support clients delivering high-performance, sustainable buildings. The latest appointments signal the company’s intention to strengthen its presence in the South while maintaining its focus on long-term partnerships and delivery certainty in complex MEP environments.
