Briggs & Forrester Engineering Services has announced a significant leadership change as Will Newman takes the helm as Managing Director, succeeding Ian Lawrence, who has led the division for the past eight years.
Ian Lawrence, a cornerstone of the company with 36 years of service, will continue to play a vital role as a board director for both the Briggs & Forrester Group and Engineering Services. He will also oversee the marketing, quality, and sustainability departments, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing support for the new leadership team.
Will Newman’s appointment comes after a remarkable career trajectory within the company. Starting as a Technical Trainee in 2002, Will advanced to Project Manager before returning to Briggs & Forrester in 2017 after a brief absence. In his role as Regional Managing Director for the South East, he successfully grew the division into a sustainable and profitable £80 million turnover region, showcasing his strategic vision and leadership skills.
